Rehabilitation of the Access Ramp of Margaret E. Morton Government Center

The City of Bridgeport is seeking bids for the rehabilitation of the access ramp of the Margaret E. Morton Government Center. The project involves two phases of construction, including exterior work to remediate the driving surface and concrete deck of the rooftop parking ramp, and interior framing and improvements to the structure directly beneath the ramp. The contractor will be responsible for the safety of the work site and must comply with all municipal, state, and federal practices and requirements. The contract award will require the successful vendor to have a valid SAM, DUNS, CT, and Federal Tax ID numbers prior to commencing work. • The project includes the removal of the existing bituminous pavement ramp surface, replacement of an existing lower trench drain, and repair of deteriorated or unsound concrete throughout the project limits. • The contractor must furnish all plant, materials, supplies, equipment, labor, and other facilities and things necessary or proper for or incidental to the proper construction of the work. • The contract will require the contractor to comply with the Davis-Bacon Act and provide a payment bond of 100% of the contract price. • The contractor must also provide a bid bond of 10% of the bid amount if the bid is $50,000 or more. • The City of Bridgeport reserves the right to reject any bid and to award the contract to the bidder whose bid is most advantageous to the City.
