Description

The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to replace the fire alarm control panel at the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument's maintenance shop. The project involves removing the existing panel and replacing it with a new, listed conventional fire alarm control panel, reconnecting existing compatible initiating device circuits and notification appliance circuits, and providing new conduit and wiring for sprinkler riser tampers and waterflow switch. The contractor must also program the new panel, test the system, and provide training to designated staff. The project requires compliance with various codes and standards, including NFPA 72, NFPA 70, and the International Fire Code. • The replacement panel must be a new, currently manufactured, manufacturer-supported, UL-listed addressable or hybrid-addressable fire alarm control panel with a minimum of 10 initiating zones. • The contractor must provide all necessary modules, accessories, and components to reconnect existing compatible initiating device circuits and notification appliance circuits. • The project requires coordination with the Government's existing central station monitoring service and the provision of two analog telephone/POTS communication lines. • The contractor must provide as-built documentation, O&M manuals, and final test reports, and conduct a minimum 1-hour onsite orientation for designated staff. • The project involves working with existing wiring, circuits, and devices, and requires careful labeling and testing to ensure a complete and operating system.
