Description
The Maryland Army National Guard is seeking a contractor to perform alterations and additions to the Glen Burnie Readiness Center. The project includes upgrades to the existing facility, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as the addition of new spaces to support the unit's mission. The facility will provide administrative, training, and material storage areas for the military unit assigned to it. The project will also include site improvements, such as parking and access roadways. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring that the project is completed in accordance with the requirements outlined in the Army National Guard standards and guidance.
Some key features of the project include:
• Upgrades to existing major building support systems
• Exterior improvements, including minor exterior renovations and new site access road security gate
• Upgrades to interior functional spaces, including alteration/renovation of existing primary facility substandard Readiness Center space
• Design and construction of new primary facility Readiness Center space
• Renovation of existing building finishes, including new finishes upgrade to existing flooring, base, walls, and ceilings
The project is expected to support the unit's readiness posture and provide a safe and functional facility for the Soldiers.
