The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified contractor to replace four aging steam‑to‑hot‑water heat exchangers in the Ogden and Damen buildings of the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, IL. The scope includes removal of existing units, installation of new BACnet‑capable exchangers on existing pads, reconnection of all piping, replacement of steam traps and shut‑off valves, insulation, leak testing, electrical work, and a minimum one‑year warranty. Work must be completed within 90 days of notice to proceed and must adhere to VA, NFPA‑99, OSHA, UL, NEC, and local regulations, with strict site‑access, safety, and after‑hours work requirements.
