Description
The Coatesville VA Medical Center is seeking information from industry to determine the availability of therapeutic patient bathing systems that meet specific salient characteristics. The systems must be able to accommodate patients weighing at least 353 lbs, fit within a 90”x33”x41” installation space, and have a maximum hydrostatic water pressure of 6 bars. The systems must also be safe and accessible for patients with lower body mobility issues and have a control panel with a digital display and scalding protection sensors. The contractor will be responsible for disconnecting the existing bath units, purchasing and delivering the new units, and installing them in the existing space without significant plumbing or construction remodel efforts.

• Accommodating patients weighing at least 353 lbs
• Fitting within a 90”x33”x41” installation space
• Having a maximum hydrostatic water pressure of 6 bars
• Being safe and accessible for patients with lower body mobility issues

• Providing a means for VAMC staff to access the internal hardware for maintenance
• Allowing for urgent patient removal by opening the door while in use and filled with water
