Description

The City of Hollywood, FL, is soliciting a qualified special‑event producer to plan, coordinate, promote, and execute the monthly “Market” component of the Downtown Hollywood ArtWalk. The contractor will manage on‑site operations, recruit and oversee at least 25 vendors per event, provide stage, sound, lighting, technical crew, tents, waste removal, security, and schedule opening acts and headliners for twelve free events per year (third Saturday each month, 6‑11 PM). The contract is a three‑year term with two optional one‑year extensions, requiring compliance with city policies (e.g., no single‑use plastics, no alcohol, food limited to handheld items). The producer must supply staff (minimum 2 during load‑in/breakdown, 3 during event), equipment, and handle advertising, sponsorships, and monthly reporting.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $1,200,000

The contract covers full production of twelve monthly markets per year, including staff, equipment rental/purchase, vendor coordination, advertising, security, and waste services. Assuming an average annual budget of $200,000‑$400,000 (staff salaries, equipment depreciation, insurance, marketing, and overhead), the three‑year base term would be roughly $600,000‑$1,200,000. Extensions could add modestly. Therefore a reasonable budget range is $500,000 to $1,200,000 over the contract life.
