2026 Sewer Main to Service Lateral Connection Testing and Sealing Project

The City of Wheaton is soliciting competitive bids for the 2026 Sewer Main to Service Lateral Connection Testing and Sealing Project. The project involves testing and sealing sanitary sewer main to service lateral connections, including sealing a minimum of four feet up the service lateral measured from the sewer main, with chemical grout. The work will occur on 8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch diameter sanitary sewer mains previously rehabilitated with cured-in-place pipe liners. • The project includes testing and sealing approximately 290 sewer main to service lateral connections. • The contractor must have at least three years of experience testing and sealing sewer main to service lateral connections. • The contractor must provide all materials, labor, equipment, and services necessary for traffic control, mainline cleaning, CCTV, bypass pumping and/or diversion of sewage flows, testing and sealing of all service connections with chemical grout, final television inspection of the lined sewer mains, warranty work, and all other materials, equipment, and procedures necessary to complete the work specified. • The project schedule will be determined by the City of Wheaton Engineering Department after the award. • The contractor shall attend a pre-construction meeting with the City prior to commencement of any work.
