Description

The U.S. Government is seeking potential sources capable of providing the lease, deployment, operation, and support of four AI-powered Mosquito Surveillance System (MSS) units. These systems will be used to conduct automated mosquito surveillance at designated Eighth Army installations to support force health protection efforts. The MSS must be an integrated, field-deployable smart trap system capable of attracting and capturing mosquitoes, automatically imaging captured specimens, performing AI-based species identification, and transmitting capture data to a cloud-based dashboard in near-real-time. • The system must be able to attract and capture mosquitoes using attractants and fan-driven airflow. • The system must be able to automatically image captured specimens. • The system must be able to perform AI-based species identification with at least 95% accuracy for medically important vector species. • The system must be able to transmit capture data, species identification results, and trap status to a cloud-based, Government-accessible dashboard in near-real-time.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, but based on the scope of work and the requirement for four AI-powered Mosquito Surveillance System units, it is likely to be in the range of $500,000 to $2 million. This estimate is influenced by the cost of developing and deploying similar systems, as well as the cost of providing ongoing support and maintenance. The actual budget may be higher or lower, depending on the specific requirements of the project and the capabilities of the selected contractor.
