RFQ - Transmission Main Replacement WTP to D Street

The City of Port Angeles is seeking a qualified consulting firm to provide engineering design and construction support services for a transmission main replacement between the Port Angeles Water Treatment Plant and "D" Street. The ideal consultant has experience designing water utility projects, understanding of the City's water infrastructure, and is well-versed with WSDOT construction specifications. The scope of work includes hydraulic modeling, predesign field investigations, alignment options, design, bidding, and construction support. • The project involves replacing approximately 14,500 linear feet of 24-inch diameter ductile iron water main. • The consultant will perform predesign field investigations to assess existing pipe condition and corrosion extent. • The consultant will develop an alignment in collaboration with City Public Works and Engineering Staff. • The consultant will provide a geotechnical/soil investigation for the selected alignment. • The consultant will define limits of City-led Topographical/ROW/Utility survey. • The consultant will provide constructability and cost analysis for three material types: HDPE, Ductile Iron, C900 PVC.
