Road Materials

Nueces County is seeking bids for road materials, including asphaltic concrete patching material, flexible base, aggregate materials, hot mix asphaltic concrete, solvent-based emulsion primer, and emulsified asphalt. The term of the agreement will be for 12 months with the option to renew for up to two additional years. The award of the contract will be made to the bidder who provides the lowest and best bid cost meeting specifications. • The estimated quantities of the materials are: approximately 500 tons of asphaltic concrete patching material, approximately 25,000 tons of flexible base type A, grade 1, approximately 10,000 tons of aggregate, type PB, grade 3S, LRA, approximately 10,000 tons of aggregate, type PB, grade 4S, LRA, approximately 8,000 tons of hot mix asphaltic concrete, type D, approximately 10,000 gallons of AE-P solvent-based emulsion primer, and approximately 700,000 gallons of HFRS-2 emulsified asphalt. • The bidder must comply with all applicable provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and implementing regulations. • The bidder must also comply with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and not discriminate against any person based on race, color, or national origin. • The contract will include provisions for insurance, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, and workers' compensation insurance. • The bidder must provide a certificate of interested parties form 1295, if applicable. • The contract will be executed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas.
