Next Generation Mounted Family of Computer Systems (MFoCS) Request for Information (RFI)

The U.S. Army is conducting market research to request industry's feedback regarding Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) or Non-Developmental Items (NDIs) that are readily available as potential solutions for Mounted Family of Computers (MFoCS). The MFoCS capability has a heritage of providing ruggedized computing power to over 100,000 Army vehicles and tactical operation centers. The MFoCS represents a line of highly modular, cyber-hardened family of tactical computing and display systems designed to consolidate warfighting applications onto a single hardware platform for ground combat vehicles and command posts. Key points to consider: • The MFoCS is mission-critical to the Army's Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) strategy. • The system incorporates next-generation processing technologies, featuring high-definition multi-touch displays, expanded Random Access Memory (RAM), and higher-capacity solid-state storage. • The MFoCS is designed to enable decision advantage by processing complex data streams in real-time and powering the advanced software and systems necessary for information superiority in a multi-domain environment. • Respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in responding to this RFI. • Proprietary information shall not be submitted.
