Notice of Intent to Award - PIMC Blood Gas and Proficiency Testing

The Indian Health Services (IHS) intends to award a sole source contract to the College of American Pathologists (CAP) for Blood Gas and Proficiency Testing services. The CAP will provide all required Proficiency Testing samples for testing performed at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center (PIMC) per accreditation standards. The total estimated value of the proposed action is $30,056.00. • The contractor will provide Blood Gas and Proficiency Testing services to the PIMC Blood Gas Laboratory. • The CAP's Laboratory Accreditation Program will ensure the PIMC Blood Gas Laboratory meets or exceeds regulatory requirements. • The contract is a firm-fixed price contract. • The IHS has determined that the CAP is the only responsible source that can provide the required services.
