Budget estimate

$2,000,000 – $5,000,000

The contract spans five years and may require up to three full crews operating day and night, with all labor, equipment, and material costs borne by the subcontractor. Similar multi‑year NYSDOT WZTC contracts typically range from a few million dollars to mid‑single‑digit millions, depending on crew size, equipment inventory, and overtime. Assuming three crews, average crew cost of $150,000 per year, plus equipment amortization and material markup, a reasonable estimate is roughly $2 M to $5 M over the contract term.
