Description
The City of Los Angeles is seeking proposals from qualified law firms to provide advice and litigation services related to the city's approval of private development projects and/or environmental review of city projects. The selected firm(s) will be expected to provide as-needed litigation support, advise on pre-approval or pre-litigation compliance with environmental laws, and provide other related legal services. The proposal should include information on the firm's experience, expertise, and qualifications, as well as its approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Some key areas of expertise required include:
• The California Environmental Quality Act
• State land use and planning laws
• Constitutional doctrines applicable to a city's approval of private development
• City of Los Angeles codes and rules
• Litigation of CEQA and land use matters
The contract is expected to begin in September (note: this seems to be outdated) and last up to three years.
