Notice of Intent to Sole Source: TUG Robots

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to enter into a sole-source procurement with ST Engineering Aethon, Inc. to replace the Aethon robots currently in use at the Atlanta VA Healthcare system. The existing robots are at their end of life and need to be replaced with the current models manufactured by Aethon, Inc. to remain covered under the annual maintenance service plan. The replacement robots will be used for the Pathology and Laboratory Service at the Atlanta VA Healthcare system. • The replacement robots are proprietary and can only be manufactured, sold, distributed, and supported by ST Engineering Aethon, Inc. • The Government's requirements for this contract can only be satisfied by one source with unique capabilities. • Any other business or person may identify their interest and capability in fulfilling this requirement by responding to this Notice by email to [email protected].
