GRPS Ken-O-Sha Asbestos Abatement and Demolition

The Grand Rapids Public Schools is seeking bids for asbestos abatement and demolition at Ken-O-Sha Elementary School. The project includes the removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials, including hard plaster, drywall, flooring, vermiculite, and vermiculite contaminated CMU block. The abatement project also includes the demolition of specified demolition areas and full building demolition of Unit E. • The project is expected to start no earlier than February 2, 2026, and be substantially complete by July 1, 2026. • A mandatory prebid meeting is scheduled for November 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Ken-O-Sha Elementary School. • Bid documents can be examined at the GRPS Facilities Offices or downloaded from the GRPS website. • A bid bond, certified check, or cashier’s check payable to Grand Rapids Public Schools in an amount equal to 5% of the total price must accompany each bid.
