The City of Flint is seeking qualified contractors to replace the entire superstructure of the Grand Traverse Street Bridge over the Flint River. The scope includes demolition and removal of the existing steel superstructure, installation of new galvanized steel beams, placement of a new concrete deck, and associated civil works such as removal and replacement of approach pavements, sidewalks, guardrails, signage, and drainage improvements. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre‑bid conference, submit a complete bid package (hard‑copy and/or electronic) by the deadline, and provide a 5 % bid bond. Local‑preference price adjustments favor Flint‑based firms (7 %) and Genesee‑County firms (3.5 %).
