Antarctic Remote Medical Services

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking a vendor to provide teleconsultation medical assistance services in support of the U.S. Antarctic Marine Living Resources (U.S. AMLR) Program. The vendor will provide an annual medical advice subscription, including immediately available emergency physicians, for the continuous operation period of two remote field camps in Antarctica. The contract is expected to have a period of performance of one base year and four option years, with a total period of performance of 2026-2031. The vendor will be required to provide emergency medical advice via a 24-hour/day telephone service, maintain medical records for U.S. AMLR field personnel, and participate in a pre-planned medical drill with U.S. AMLR personnel in the field once a year. • The vendor must provide U.S. Board-Certified emergency physicians with experience in voice-only telemedical care for patients in isolated environments. • The vendor must maintain medical records for U.S. AMLR field personnel and provide an annual review of U.S. AMLR field medical supplies, including a recommended pharmaceutical formulary. • The vendor must participate in a pre-planned medical drill with U.S. AMLR personnel in the field once a year. • The vendor must track and submit clinical reports for all medical consultations to be transmitted to U.S. AMLR without Patient Identifying Information.
