Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking sources for non-emergent ground transportation services for veterans. The services will be provided to the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System and its associated Community-Based Outpatient Clinics. The contractor will be required to provide all vehicles, personnel, management, supplies, equipment, and necessary reporting for the provision of Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, and Critical Care Transport services. The contractor must have sufficient vehicles and personnel to provide services for up to two simultaneous transportation requests. The contract period will be from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2027. Key requirements include:
* Providing non-emergent ground transportation services to veterans
* Having sufficient vehicles and personnel to provide services for up to two simultaneous transportation requests
* Maintaining a Quality Control Plan that meets the requirements outlined in the contract
* Complying with all federal, state, and local regulations governing the performance of contracted services
* Providing on-time ambulance services to meet the requirements of the contract
* Maintaining a record-keeping system to track employee training, certifications, and background checks
* Cooperating with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) in providing information and answering questions in a timely manner
* Notifying the COR of any accidents and/or safety problems that occur while patients are being transported
* Providing a monthly invoice including secondary documentation in accordance with the contract
* Complying with the COVID-19 or other similar infectious diseases protocols and procedures
* Abiding by all additional procedures and precautions that may be implemented by the VA based on VA-issued guidance and/or CDC recommendations
