Description
The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is seeking a vendor to provide weed and vegetation control services at the I-65 South Bound Rest Area in Greenville, Alabama. The vendor must provide all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to perform the services. The area to be treated is approximately 8 acres of Bermuda Sod. The vendor must have working knowledge of herbicides and other related products, and must be able to communicate and explain application operations to interested parties. The contract will be awarded to the supplier with the lowest total program cost for all treatments.
• The vendor must provide proof of applicable permit coverage and conform to regulations.
• The vendor must have all federal, state, and local licenses, certificates, and permits required by law.
• The vendor must provide daily herbicide reports of all applications.
• The vendor must give mandatory two-day notice to ALDOT personnel before each application.
• The vendor must not clean equipment, tanks, hoses, or other materials related to herbicide applications on ALDOT property.
