Grass Seeds on an As Needed Basis

The City of Rancho Cucamonga is seeking vendors to provide grass seeds on an as-needed basis. The City requires Perennial Ryegrass Seed Blend and Tall Fescue Blend that meet specific standards, including minimum germination and purity rates. Vendors must indicate their compliance with the specifications and provide comments for any exceptions. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any bids and to split or make the award in any manner determined to be in the best interest of the City. • The Perennial Ryegrass Seed Blend must be a mix of Apple 3GL Perennial Ryegrass, Stellar GL Perennial Ryegrass, and Bonneville Perennial Ryegrass. • The Tall Fescue Blend must be a mix of 35% Aquavita Tall Fescue, 35% Traverse Tall Fescue, and 30% Tall Fescue or comparable. • The seeds must have a minimum germination rate of 90% and a minimum purity rate of 98%. • The seeds must be readily available for delivery within 7 days. • The City will not accept bids with unverified or excessive price increases due to tariff changes.
