Description
The City of Salina is seeking a qualified engineering consultant to design the replacement of three deteriorating 28‑in × 40‑in corrugated metal culverts on Fairdale Road, including hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, design alternatives, construction‑ready plans, and assistance with easement and utility coordination. The consultant will work from the notice‑to‑proceed in November 2026 through final design delivery in April 2027, after which the City will move to construction. This RFQ focuses on the consultant’s qualifications; fee negotiations will follow selection.
• Scope: update drainage analyses, evaluate design alternatives, produce construction documents, and support easement and utility acquisition.
• Deliverables: feasibility report, hydraulic analysis results, design drawings/specifications, easement legal descriptions, and coordination assistance.
• Schedule: qualification submission due 18 Sep 2026; design phase runs approx. Nov 2026 – Apr 2027 (≈5 months).
