ADA Compliant Doors

The City of Taylor is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the installation of ADA-compliant power-operated doors at multiple City-owned facilities. The selected contractor will provide all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to furnish and install fully functional ADA door systems in accordance with current ADA standards. The scope of work includes complete site preparation, removal of existing doors/hardware, electrical work, installation, and commissioning of new ADA-compliant systems. The project locations are the Department of Public Works (DPW) Building, Lakes of Taylor Golf Course, Taylor Meadows Golf Course, and Animal Shelter. The contractor must comply with ADA Accessibility Guidelines and ANSI/BHMA A156.10 & A156.19 standards, use commercial-grade materials, and provide low-energy operation, obstruction detection, and adjustable features. • The contractor will be responsible for performing on-site assessments, removing and disposing of existing door systems, furnishing and installing commercial-grade power-operated door openers, and providing all required electrical work. • The contractor must provide a detailed cost breakdown, product specifications, and proof of licenses, insurance, and bonding. • The contractor must also submit references from prior clients for comparable ADA-compliant door installations. • The contract period is one year with the option to extend for up to three additional years. • The City of Taylor reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
