Description
The Ware County Board of Commissioners is seeking a qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to provide financial and compliance audit services. The selected firm will be responsible for conducting audits for the County and its component units, including the Solid Waste Management Authority of Ware County. The contract will cover three consecutive fiscal years, beginning with the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026. The audit must be completed prior to December 31st of each year. The selected firm will be required to provide all necessary audit reports, including reports required under Government Auditing Standards and Financial Statements.
• The County has a General Fund budget of approximately $50,000,000.
• The County has several funds, including the General Fund, Special Revenue Funds, and Capital Projects Funds.
• The County uses ADG accounting software for its accounting records.
• The most recent audit was performed by Carr, Riggs & Ingram.
• County staff will assist with document preparation and retrieval during fieldwork.
