HERITAGE WAY TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS ALONG GREAT MEADOW RD & MARSH ST PHASES 1 AND 2

The Town of Wethersfield is seeking a contractor to complete bicycle and pedestrian improvements along approximately 4,900 linear feet of Marsh St and Great Meadow Rd. The project includes construction of a new multi-use trail, installation of concrete sidewalk and ramps, and other tasks. The contract is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including set-aside and non-discrimination requirements. The contractor will need to provide compensatory flood storage volume due to the project's location in regulated floodplain areas. Key tasks include: • Construction of a new 8’ and 10’ wide, paved multi-use trail • Installation of concrete sidewalk and ramps • Installation of wooden split rail fence, metal beam guide rail, signage, and trail lighting • Reconstruction and re-alignment of the Marsh St and Broad St intersection • Removal and installation of pavement markings and signs • Drainage improvements and limited road widening The contractor will need to comply with state contract requirements and non-discrimination laws.
