RAILROAD UNDERPASS IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

The City of Rochester is seeking bids for the Railroad Underpass Improvements Project. The project consists of improving pedestrian safety within the project limits of each underpass, including cleaning and repairing existing lights, replacing the gutter system, improving roadside drainage, repairing asphalt, replacing or resetting pedestrian railing, and repairing concrete barrier and retaining walls. The project also includes the installation of retroreflective sign post strips and maintenance of the city's street lighting system. The contract type is a unit price contract, and the project estimate is $754,395.00. The contractor will start the work within ten days of receipt of the written Notice to Proceed and complete the work within 244 calendar days. • The project requires the contractor to perform with its own organization contract work amounting to not less than twenty percent of the original total contract bid price. • The contractor must comply with the City of Rochester's Standard Construction Contract Documents and other provisions of the City's Contract Documents. • The contractor must submit a signed original hard copy of the complete proposal, required bid bond, addenda, and all other required forms. • The contractor must attend a pre-bid conference, which is recommended but not mandatory. • The contractor must comply with the City's MWBE and workforce goals requirements.
