Description
The City of Salina is seeking contractors to repaint and recoat the North Ohio Overpass, including concrete surfaces, bridge fencing, and lighting fixture housings. The scope calls for specific Tnemec coating systems, removal of previous coatings, and coordination with active railroad traffic (Union Pacific and Kansas & Oklahoma). Contractors must arrange flagging services for railroad safety and follow updated surface‑preparation specifications in Addendum 1.
• Apply Tnemec prime, intermediate, and finish coats to previously painted concrete surfaces.
• Paint metal housings of streetlights, pedestrian lights, and fence lights.
• Perform surface preparation for bridge fencing without full sandblasting; no work required on the underside of rail‑attached barriers.
• Coordinate with railroad flagging contractors (approx. $1,500 per day) for trains crossing the bridge (2‑8 trains per day).
