Description
The City of Salina is seeking qualified contractors to repaint the North Ohio Overpass. The scope includes complete surface preparation and application of a multi‑coat Tnemec coating system to concrete bridge decks, painting of lighting fixture housings, and coordination with two railroads for train traffic and flagging services. No painting is required on the underside of the rail, and sandblasting of the bridge‑fencing mesh is not mandated. The project will use specific Tnemec products and must meet revised specifications outlined in Addendum No. 1.
• Apply Tnemec Series 151‑1051 Elasto‑Grip FC primer and two coats of Series 156 Enviro‑Crete to concrete surfaces.
• Paint all streetlight, pedestrian‑light, and fence‑light housings.
• Coordinate with Union Pacific (2 trains/day) and Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad (6‑8 trains/day) for flagging; use pre‑approved flaggers for UP.
• No cleaning/painting of rail undersides; no sandblasting of woven wire mesh required.
