Description
The University of Texas at Austin seeks qualified technical service providers to perform independent, third‑party code‑compliance inspections and testing for new construction, additions, renovations, and alterations across its owned and leased facilities. The contract is a one‑year agreement with four optional one‑year renewals, allowing firms to be called on an as‑needed basis for a wide range of sites primarily in Austin but also at satellite locations throughout Texas. Submissions are electronic, due 28 Sep 2026 2:00 PM CST, with questions due 14 Sep 2026 12:00 PM CST. No pre‑bid conference is required. Selected firms must respond to service requests within 24 hours and be capable of emergency response.
• Scope: field inspections, testing, documentation, coordination with architects/engineers and construction contractors.
• Locations: Main Campus, J.J. Pickle Research Campus, UT Dell Campus, West Pickle Research Campus, Dell Seton Medical Center, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Brackenridge Tract, McDonald Observatory (Fort Davis), Marine Science Institute (Port Aransas), and other future sites.
• Expected volume (2027): ~6 new building projects, 4 public‑private partnership projects, 25 major renovations, 50 minor renovations, 30 lab renovations.
• Contract term: 1 year with up to four 1‑year renewal options.
• Submission: PDF qualifications and Execution of Offer Letter via UT Box; VetHUB subcontracting plan also required.
• Evaluation criteria: qualifications, experience, ability to respond within 24 hrs, emergency capability, past performance, team credentials.
• Mandatory response time: acknowledgment within 24 hrs of service request; full report generation on site visits.
