NOTICE OF INTENDED DECISION TO PROCEED WITH SINGLE SOURCE PURCHASE EPOC BLOOD ANALYSIS SYSTEM

The Town of Jupiter is seeking to purchase a medically advanced, point-of-care blood analysis system. The system must be capable of performing rapid and comprehensive blood analysis, including measuring pH, pCO2, pO2, TCO2, Na+, K+, Ca2+, Cl-, blood glucose, lactate, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, and hematocrit. The system must also meet specific clinical, operational, regulatory, and training requirements. The Town of Jupiter has identified the Siemens EPOC Blood Analysis System as the only system that meets these requirements. • The system must be capable of analyzing multiple components with a single card and providing results within 3 minutes. • The system must not require refrigeration or additional time to defrost before use. • The system must meet CLIA requirements and provide technical consultation, training, and support. • The system must be capable of performing blood lab values and meeting specific regulatory requirements.
