On-Call Services for Administration of Construction Dewatering Regulations

The City of Palo Alto is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to provide on-call services for the administration of construction dewatering regulations. The selected consultant will assist City staff in overseeing and managing excavation projects that require temporary groundwater pumping. The scope of work includes tasks such as dewatering site inspections, data collection and reporting, preparation of dewatering season end reports, and review of geotechnical studies and dewatering plans. The consultant will work with the Public Works Engineering Services Division, Private Development Group, and may be required to work on multiple projects simultaneously. • The contract will be for a period of three years. • The consultant must have experience with similar projects and a valid Professional License in the category of Geotechnical Engineer registered in the State of California. • The consultant will be required to provide a cost proposal and evidence of financial stability. • The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to negotiate with any or all proposers. • The contract will be administered by the Public Works Department, Engineering Services Division, Private Development Group.
