Architectural Services for Preliminary Renovation Concepts for planning purposes and consideration of existing space and design of a Memory Care Unit

The County of Grant is seeking an architectural firm to develop preliminary renovation concepts and a design framework for a new Memory Care Unit within its existing Orchard Manor long‑term‑care facility. The scope includes detailed assessment of existing conditions, regulatory and code analysis, feasibility and space programming, and creation of conceptual design solutions that meet dementia‑care best practices. The firm must be Wisconsin‑licensed and have experience with health‑care/long‑term‑care projects, especially occupied renovations and memory‑care environments. Proposals are to be submitted electronically by October 12, 2026. • Assess current SNF/ICF spaces, building systems, and operational constraints at Orchard Manor. • Conduct code, regulatory, and licensing reviews (Wisconsin DHS, DSPS, ADA, NFPA, Medicare/Medicaid). • Produce feasibility study, space‑program options, and a recommended design concept for a memory‑care unit. • Deliver conceptual design packages that incorporate safety, way‑finding, resident dignity, and staff efficiency, with optional support through later design phases.
