Thyroid Uptake System

The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting offers for a Thyroid Uptake System with a 1-inch well and accessories for use by the VA Philadelphia Healthcare System. The system will be used to measure the amount of radioactive iodine a patient’s thyroid gland absorbs to assess thyroid function, reduce the need for invasive procedures, enhanced treatment planning, and enhance patient safety. The solicitation is designated as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. • The system must have a 1-inch well and provide quantitative measurements of the thyroid glands. • The system must have a shielded detector with a flat-field collimator and a multi-channel analyzer (MCA). • The system must use sodium iodine (NaI) detector. • The system must have a Cap-DICOM Interface. • The system must have an isotope library. • The system must be able to handle both liquid and capsule forms of radiopharmaceuticals. • The system must have a Neck Phantom for Thyroid Uptake System. • The system must have a counterbalanced, articulating arm for easy detector positioning. • The system must have an adjustable height and horizontal reach to accommodate patients and positioning requirements. • The system must have wheels for easy mobility. • The system must have training available for Technologists and Radiologists.
