Description
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Services is offering a one-time public sales contract for the sale of off-spec turbine aviation fuel. The fuel is stored in a 6,000-gallon underground storage tank at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The successful bidder will be required to remove the entire contents of the tank, estimated to be between 3,185 and 6,000 gallons. The fuel will be sold for energy recovery only, and the purchaser must comply with all local, state, and federal laws governing the use of off-specification fuels for energy recovery.
• The fuel is a mixture of Jet A (D-2), JP-10 (D-3), and RP-2 (D-1)
• The fuel is classified as DOT HAZ CLASS 3, PG III
• The purchaser must provide all equipment needed to evacuate the fuel from the tank
• The purchaser must bring materials to safely pump the product from the tanks to tanker trucks
• The purchaser must have a spill contingency plan and perform operations in a safe manner
