Professional Engineering & Construction Administrative Services for Historic Preservation

The City of Missoula, Montana, is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from a qualified design team or teams to provide historic preservation services for the rehabilitation of the historic Moon-Randolph barn. The Moon-Randolph Homestead is an important cultural site in Missoula’s North Hills, and this 130-year-old barn is perhaps the most iconic structure on site. A rehabilitated barn will enable proper interpretation of the site, agricultural demonstration, as well as a large indoor area for education, events, and fundraising. The scope of work includes Alternative Analysis, Design Development, Restoration Design Plans, Bidding and Procurement Services, and Construction Administration. The successful firm must be licensed to do business in the state of Montana for Engineering and have at least five years of experience in successful application of Historical Rehabilitation services. Some key points to note: * The budget for consultant services is $150,000. * The project is expected to start in October 2026 and last for 12 months. * The City of Missoula reserves the right to select a firm, or firms, the City deems to be in the City’s best interest and to reject any or all proposals for any reason. * The evaluation criteria for selecting the successful firm include Qualifications of the firm, Experience of key personnel, Past performance, Ability to meet schedule requirements and budget constraints, and Availability and familiarity with locale and greater surrounding area.
