Raleigh Road Drainage Improvements

The City of Newport News is seeking bids for the construction of drainage improvements between the intersection of Raleigh Road and River Road to the intersection of Randolph Road and Burns Avenue. The project includes modifications to existing structures, new reinforced concrete pipe installations, and replacement of undersized catch basins. The contractor will be responsible for all work shown in the approved construction documents, including maintenance of traffic, erosion and sediment control, regular excavation and demolition, and landscape establishment. • The project will be completed in 150 days (substantial) and 30 days (final). • The contractor must have the capability to fully perform the services and have the experience necessary to assure good faith performance of the contract. • The contractor will be required to maintain adequate liability insurance and provide proof of insurance prior to commencement of services. • The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. • The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities prior to making the award.
