04-2026 Minden Airport Perimeter Fencing – Phase 1

The City of Minden is seeking a qualified contractor to install perimeter fencing around Minden Municipal Airport (Phase 1). The work includes clearing and grubbing, installation of a 6‑ft chain‑link fence and an 8‑ft wildlife‑exclusion woven‑wire fence, provision of three 16‑ft double‑leaf vehicle gates, concrete gate pads, and associated site‑cleanup and documentation. The contract is a fixed‑price, sealed‑bid solicitation funded by an FAA Airport Improvement Program grant, with a 45‑day performance period after notice to proceed and required 5 % bid bond plus 100 % performance and payment bonds. • Install 1,440 LF of 6‑ft chain‑link fence and 5,300 LF of 8‑ft wildlife‑exclusion fence. • Provide three 16‑ft double‑leaf vehicle gates (one for chain‑link, two for wildlife fence) and concrete gate pads. • Perform site preparation (clearing, grubbing, tree removal), waste removal, and final site restoration; submit shop drawings, warranties, and “Buy‑American” certification. • Comply with FAA airport construction safety plan, Louisiana contractor licensing (highway, street & bridge), and all federal, state, and local bonding, insurance, and reporting requirements.
