Commodity Processing-Mashed Potatoes

The Canyons School District (CSD) Purchasing Department, on behalf of Utah Cooperative for Acquiring Resources Efficiently (UCARE), is seeking a qualified supplier to process USDA Commodity Mashed Potatoes products. The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract, and the supplier must be properly licensed to do business in the State of Utah and have been approved by the Utah State Board of Education Child Nutrition office to process USDA commodity Mashed Potatoes. The supplier must also comply with Federal Code 2 CFR, parts 200.318-326 General Procurement Requirements. Some key responsibilities of the supplier include: * Providing products that meet or exceed the specifications listed in the proposal * Submitting a monthly product velocity report to UCARE * Maintaining all paperwork required for the immediate and proper notification of recalls for full and split cases * Complying with all Federal, State, and local requirements regarding the identification and recall of foods * Providing a Food Recall Provision that includes accurate and timely communications to UCARE and assurance that unsafe products are identified and removed from District/School sites. Some key evaluation criteria for this proposal include: * Responsiveness to UCARE's overall needs * Competence and qualifications in regards to providing the services required * Pricing for the services offered * Product samples (if required)
