RFI JPEO CBRND JPM CBRN Special Operations Forces - Next Generation Powered Air Purifying Respirator

The Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND) is seeking information on capabilities that enable Next Generation Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) Development. The PAPR must provide a minimum assigned protection factor (APF) of 10,000, be compatible with the M53 protective mask, and have a power source that provides a minimum of 8 hours of uninterrupted power. The ideal response will include technical descriptions, summaries of relevant experience, estimated production timelines, and identified sustainment considerations. Key requirements include: • Providing a minimum APF of 10,000 • Compatibility with the M53 protective mask • Automatic response to breathing level and user-adjustable air flow settings • Power source that provides a minimum of 8 hours of uninterrupted power • Weight of no more than 4.0 lbs for the PAPR system • Compatibility with combat helmet, body armor, and other equipment
