The National Park Service is conducting market research for the rehabilitation of the South Entrance and Visitor Center Road at Zion National Park. The project involves realigning Visitor Center Road, installing a new bridge over the Virgin River, and reconfiguring parking lots to improve vehicular and pedestrian mobility. The project requires the installation of roadways, a bridge, signs, striping, drainage infrastructure, and landscaping treatments. The contractor must also reconstruct utilities, such as water, sanitary, electric, and communications, to accommodate the infrastructure identified in the project. The work must be done while maintaining traffic to the visitor facilities and bus maintenance facilities. The project is expected to last 730 calendar days from the notice to proceed.
