STAIR TREAD REPLACEMENT AT SUMMIT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

The City of Charlottesville is seeking bids for the replacement of stair treads at Summit Elementary School. The project includes the removal and disposal of existing stair treads and risers, installation of new stair treads, risers, and trims, and repair of stair bases as needed. The work must be completed during the summer break, and the contractor must ensure minimal disruption to the occupied school building. The contractor will be responsible for providing competent management and supervision of the project, thorough cleaning of the project site, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Some key requirements include: • Providing a MSDS for all chemicals proposed to be used • Submitting product data and samples for all products used • Complying with industry standards and applicable laws and regulations • Maintaining a high level of worker and site safety • Protecting all finishes and components until the work is turned over to the Owner • Removing all errant drips, spills, splatters, etc. from the project work area • Generally cleaning and removing debris at the end of each work day • Thoroughly cleaning the Project Work Areas upon completion of work and prior to the work being turned over to the Owner
