Description
This solicitation calls for a series of reforestation projects across four Alabama wildlife management areas. The contractor must provide aerial herbicide (site‑preparation) services, supply and apply the specified chemicals, and plant containerized or bareroot pine seedlings at the densities and timelines specified for each site. Work must be coordinated with state‑managed burn schedules and completed within the 2026‑2027 window. All labor, equipment, and materials are to be furnished by the contractor, who must hold the appropriate Alabama pesticide‑application licenses and meet insurance requirements. The effort includes approximately 500 acres of treatment and roughly 300,000 trees to be planted.
• Aerial herbicide application (Imazapyr, Glyphosate, surfactants, etc.) on ~350 acres during July 1 – Sept 15 2026.
• Tree planting of longleaf, loblolly, and shortleaf pine (containerized or bareroot) on ~150 acres, at densities of 480–622 trees per acre, to be completed by mid‑Feb 2027 (or March 1 2027 for Skyline).
• Site‑visit/pre‑spray reconnaissance for the Cedar Creek project (June 1‑July 1 2026) and mandatory mapping deliverables after each spray window.
