Description
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is soliciting bids from qualified and experienced contractors to provide comprehensive maintenance services for its network of broadcast tower sites located throughout the state of Iowa. The purpose of this Request for Bids (RFB) is to select a highly competent and reliable contractor capable of ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of Iowa critical broadcast infrastructure. The resulting contract will be available to all State Agencies including but not limited to Iowa Public Broadcasting Service (Iowa PBS) and the Department of Public Safety (DPS). The State intends to award contracts based on Zones. A bidder may bid more than one zone. The State will award multiple bidders for coverage on all zones. • The contractor shall provide comprehensive maintenance services for all designated Iowa PBS broadcast tower sites.
• The contractor shall maintain detailed logs of all maintenance activities.
• The contractor shall provide comprehensive written inspection reports after each scheduled site visit.
• The contractor shall assist Agencies in maintaining documentation required for regulatory compliance.
• The contractor shall provide 24/7 emergency response capabilities for critical issues impacting tower operations or safety.
