Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command is seeking information on advanced stage Technology Readiness Level (TRL) Over-the-Horizon Sensors (OTH-S) and their projected availability for fielding and deployment. The OTH-S will detect adversary surface targets at extended ranges in support of the Marine Corps' Stand in Force (SiF) mission. The sensor should provide Maritime Domain Awareness (MDA) and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) tipping and cueing against targets operating in open ocean beyond the range of the littorals. Some key points to consider include: • The OTH-S should be a persistent, long-range sensor, independent of national and theater collection assets. • The sensor should be all-weather operable. • The OTH-S will provide the SiF an organic long-range collection capability that does not depend on theater or national assets. • Respondents should submit a detailed response, including a cover letter, capabilities, and understanding of the requirement. • Additional details of the submission requirements are included in Attachment 01 of this RFI.

Budget estimate

$10,000,000 – $50,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as it is a Request for Information (RFI) and not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a contract. However, based on the complexity and the technology involved in the Over-the-Horizon Sensor, the budget could be substantial. The sensor is a critical component of the Marine Corps' Stand in Force (SiF) mission, and the development and deployment of such a system could be a significant investment. Some factors that may influence the likely payment range include: The complexity of the sensor system The number of units required The development and deployment timeline The contractor's experience and expertise in similar projects A rough estimate for the budget could be in the range of $10 million to $50 million, considering the scope and complexity of the project.
