Snow Plowing and Ice Control

The Town of Cortlandt is seeking bids for snow plowing and ice control services. The contractor will provide snow and ice removal operations on specific town roads and highways, and will provide the necessary operator for each vehicle. The contractor shall bid based on vehicle including operator per hour basis. The contract will be for a term of one year, with the option for annual extension upon mutual consent of all parties. The contractor will be required to provide equipment that meets the specifications outlined in the bid document, and will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the equipment. The Town reserves the right to add and/or delete streets or lots during the term of the agreement. • The contractor will provide at least one ¾ ton or 1-ton 4wd truck with an 8-foot power angle plow or larger to remove snow on Town Roads and parking lots. • The contractor will provide a list of available trucks or equipment for snow and ice removal. • The contractor will be required to provide driver(s) and vehicle(s) within one hour of call from the Town. • The contractor will be required to complete Town provided Daily Vehicle Mileage Reports and Product Loading Forms. • The contractor will be responsible for all repairs, towing, or recovery to contractor vehicles. • The Town will provide periodic in-the-field inspection during removal operations. • The Town will provide and be the sole loader of salt/sand products for the operation.
