Oxford Nanopore Technologies promethION 2 integrated long-read sequencer

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to negotiate and award a contract without providing for full and open competition to Oxford Nanopore Technologies for a promethION 2 integrated long-read sequencer. This long-read sequencing provides more informative reads than standard next-generation sequencing and allows for both whole genome/transcriptome sequencing and base-call modifications at the same time. The product enables high impact and real-time multi-omics integration not found in other sequencing technologies. • The contract will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-99-1, July 16, 2018. • The acquisition is conducted under the procedures as prescribed in FAR subpart 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures at an amount not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold ($350,000). • Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this notice, and responses must be received by AUGUST 5TH, 2026 at 9:00 AM Eastern time.
