The Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) is seeking information from potential suppliers for the manufacture of the Upper Wide-Angle Viewing System (UWAVS) Instrumentation and Control (I&C) subsystem. The UWAVS system will provide real-time, simultaneous visible and infrared images of the ITER divertor region. The I&C subsystem will control all UWAVS subsystems, including beam steering, mirror cleaning, camera calibration, and shutter control. The supplier will be responsible for the design, manufacture, testing, and delivery of the I&C subsystem, as well as providing support for the integration and testing of the subsystem at the ITER facility.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Design and manufacture of the I&C subsystem, including hardware and software components
• Testing and validation of the I&C subsystem
• Delivery and integration of the I&C subsystem at the ITER facility
• Support for the testing and commissioning of the UWAVS system
The PPPL is looking for suppliers with experience in the design and manufacture of complex instrumentation and control systems, as well as experience with ITER-specific requirements and standards.
