Flood Protection Strategic and Advisory Services

Zone 7 Water Agency is seeking a consultant to provide guidance and assistance to the Flood Protection Engineering and Executive Management teams. The scope of work includes flood risk management initiatives, navigating regulatory requirements, and enhancing long-term system resilience. The consultant will provide support for the development of a Flood Asset Management Plan, a Low Impact Development (LID) Program, and as-needed flood management advisory services. The contract is expected to be for a period of three years, from August 2026 to July 2029. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing strategic, technical, and programmatic support for flood risk management initiatives • Assisting with the development of a Flood Asset Management Plan and a Low Impact Development (LID) Program • Providing as-needed flood management advisory services • Collaborating with Zone 7 staff and other stakeholders to enhance long-term system resilience • Navigating regulatory requirements and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
