Airfield Falls Landscape Maintenance

The Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) is seeking proposals for landscape maintenance services for Airfield Falls Trailhead and Conservation Park, totaling approximately 3.5 acres. The services will include landscape maintenance, irrigation services, and other related tasks. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, and related items to complete the tasks. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to renew for up to four additional one-year periods. The key responsibilities of the contractor will include maintaining the area, removing weeds and non-planned plant matter, maintaining irrigation, mowing turf grass areas, keeping edges, maintaining a mulch layer, keeping plants alive through proper care, pruning plants as needed, replacing plants as needed, and removing litter. The contractor will also be required to work within the practices and designs provided by the TRWD project manager and maintain plant material according to existing designs. • The areas of the park in need of landscaping services are primarily parking lot landscape beds, a bioswale area, the main lawn and adjacent landscape beds, and landscape beds along the sides of the butterfly plant path. • The contractor will be required to submit a proposal for any plants that need to be replaced and obtain approval from the TRWD project manager. • The contractor will be required to perform monthly inspections of all irrigation zones and submit monthly reports on the status of the irrigation system. • The contractor will be required to work with the TRWD project manager to maintain water conservation initiatives through irrigation frequency and volume control. • The contractor will be required to adhere to the conservation watering restrictions applicable in the park's location, including time of day and day of the week restrictions.
