Vancouver VAMC Street Sweeper

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information from vendors who can provide a street sweeper that meets the specified requirements. The sweeper should be a cabover chassis design with a regenerative air system, and it should be designed for municipal and industrial sweeping operations. The vendor should provide a capability statement and a courtesy market research quote. The contract is expected to be a firm-fixed price supply purchase. Some of the key features required in the street sweeper include: • A cabover configuration with forward-mounted cab for enhanced operator visibility • A gas-powered engine meeting current EPA emissions standards • Automatic transmission for ease of operation • A minimum GVWR of 19,500 lbs. • An ergonomic cab with air conditioning, heating, and OSHA-compliant noise levels • A regenerative air sweeping technology with closed-loop airflow • A minimum 8 ft. sweeping path in a single pass • Dual gutter brooms with hydraulic lift and tilt controls • A hopper capacity of at least 4.0 cubic yards, constructed of stainless steel for corrosion resistance and durability • A dump height of minimum 60 inches for discharge into standard containers or trucks The vendor should also provide documented operator training and maintenance documentation, as well as warranty coverage for the chassis and sweeper components.
